Flow

This event is a two part event:

Part 1

This event begins with 3 athletes on the rower and 1 athlete standing on the Dollamur mat under the center rig. At the sound of the beep, 3 athletes will begin accumulating calories. The athletes may tag out or switch rowers at any time. In order to tag in the non-working athlete, the tag must be made on the dollamur mat under the center rig. When 60 calories have been accumulated on each rower, the team will move to the Synchro Dumbbell Squat Cleans. Again, the athletes may tag in or switch positions at any time. When 40 synchro dumbbell squat cleans have been completed the team will move to the boxes and begin accumulating synchro burpee box jump overs.  Again, the athletes may tag in or switch positions at any time. When 20 synchro burpee box jump overs have been completed the team will move back to the rowers and complete a second round in the same format. Upon completion of the second round the team will move to the second part of the workout. 

Part 2

All 4 members of the team will move to the worm and complete 20 synchro worm push presses. Upon completion of 20 synchro worm push presses 1 member of the team will return to the middle rig and complete 25 toes to bar using the bar closest to the start line (facing the finish line). While 1 member of the team is completing the toes to bar the other 3 members of the team will hold the worm. No portion of the worm may touch the floor or the feet of the athletes. Any repetitions of toes to bar completed while the worm is not off the ground are considered no reps.. Upon completion of 25 toes to bar the working athlete will return to the worm. The team will move forward to the designated line and complete another 20 synchro worm push presses. The team will continue this pattern with every athlete completing one full set of toes to bar. The team will finish with a fifth round of worm push presses, then drop the worm and move to the finish line. When the team is on the finish mat together, time stops.

NOTE: The timing chip must be worn by the final member of the team to cross the finish line.  Timing chip must be worn by female athlete at the back of the worm.

Scoring

The team score is the total time for completing the event.

Movement Standards

Concept2 Rower

  • Athletes must remain on the rower until the display reads the required number of calories. The athlete may coast over the required work, but cannot get off the rower until they are past the calorie target and all athletes have completed the required work. The athlete may adjust the damper setting and foot positions at any time during the row. Athletes may not touch the monitor at any time.


Synchro Dumbbell Squat Cleans

  • The dumbbells begin on the ground and must pass through a full squat in one continuous motion with hip crease below the knees. The rep is credited when the athlete’s hips and knees are fully extended, and one head of the DBs is resting on the shoulders of all three athletes. The synchro portion of this movement is at the top of the squat.


Synchro Burpee Box Jump Overs

  • The athletes must face the box at the bottom position, with the athletes' chest touching the ground. The athletes may come to their feet however they wish, and must jump over the box to the other side where the rep will be counted. The jump must be a two-footed jump and only the athletes’ feet may make contact with the box. Landing on top of the box is allowed, but not required. The synchro portion of this movement is at the bottom of the burpee. If a no rep occurs the athletes all must begin the rep again on the same side the no rep started on.

Worm Push Press

  • The rep begins with the worm on the same side shoulder for all four athletes. The worm will be brought overhead to the opposite shoulder using a press (dip and drive) motion. Push jerking the worm is not allowed. The rep is complete when the worm is on the opposite shoulder of all four athletes with knees, hips, and shoulders in alignment. The arms do not need to reach full extension when the worm is lifted overhead but the entire worm must pass over the heads of the athletes.

Worm Hold

  • Athletes must hold the worm off the floor, on their shoulders. While holding the worm the athletes must face forwards, towards the finish mat.


Toes to Bar

  • In the toes-to-bar, the athletes must go from a full hang to having the toes touch the pull-up bar. Both feet must be in contact with the bar at the same time, inside the hands. The arms and hips must be fully extended at the bottom and the feet must be brought back behind the vertical plane of the bar before initiating the next rep. Any part of the shoe may touch the bar for the rep to count.
