Flow

This event begins with the team on the start mat (behind the rig). At the sound of the beep, 1 Male and 1 Female member of the team will move to the handstand pushup walls and the other 2 members of the team will move to the Center Rig. Reps may not be accumulated until both pairs are standing on their respective dollamur mats. Male/Female Pair 1 will accumulate 24 Synchro Deficit Handstand Pushups. Male/Female Pair 2 will accumulate 12 Synchro Bar Muscleups. When both pairs have accumulated the required number of reps, the team will move to the worm and begin accumulating reps of worm thrusters. When the team has accumulated 12 Worm Thrusters, they will move the worm forward one section. Male/Female Pair 1 will then move to the Middle Rig and begin accumulating reps of Synchro Bar Muscleups and Male/Female Pair 2 will move to the Handstand Pushup Walls and begin accumulating reps of Synchro Deficit Handstand Pushups. Again, reps may not be accumulated until both pairs are standing on their respective dollamur mats. When Pair 2 has accumulated 24 reps of Synchro Deficit Handstand Pushups and Pair 1 has accumulated 12 reps of Synchro Bar Muscleups the team will move back to the worm and begin accumulating reps of Worm Thrusters. When 12 Worm Thrusters have been completed, the team will move the worm through the rig to the designated section and drop the worm.

The team will follow the pattern above for one more round; with Pair 1 completing 24 Synchro Deficit Handstand Pushups while Pair 2 completes 12 Synchro Bar Muscleups, followed by 12 worm thrusters, (move the worm forward)  followed by Pair 1 Completing 12 Synchro Bar Muscleups while Pair 2 completes 24 Synchro Deficit Handstand Pushups; and finally 12 Worm Thrusters.

NOTE: The timing chip must be worn by the final member of the team to cross the finish line.  Timing chip must be worn by female athlete at the back of the worm.

Scoring

The team score is the total time for completing the event.

Movement Standards

Synchro Deficit Handstand Pushups

  • The movement begins at the top of a handstand with the arms fully locked out, only the heels on the wall. At the bottom of each rep, the head touches the target at the required depth. At the top of each rep, the arms return to fully locked out with only the heels on the wall, inside the width of the hands. The synchro portion will be at the top of the rep.

Worm Thrusters

  • The worm thruster starts with the worm on the same shoulder for all athletes. The hip crease must clearly pass below the top of the knees in the bottom position.

  • The synchro portion of this movement is at the bottom of the squat. At the top, each athlete's hips and knees must be fully extended as the worm is lifted over the athletes' heads and moved to their opposite shoulder. The arms do not need to reach full extension as the worm is moved overhead.

Synchro Bar Muscleups

  • The athlete must begin with or pass through a hang below the bar, with the arms fully extended and the feet off the ground. Kipping the muscle up is acceptable, but pullovers, rolls to support and glide kips are not permitted. No portion of the foot may rise above the height of the bar during the kip. The rep is credited when the arms are fully locked out while the athlete is in the support position above the bar with the shoulders over or in front of the bar. Athletes must pass through some portion of a dip-to-lockout over the bar. Only the hands and no other part of the arm may touch the pull-up bar to assist the athlete in completing the rep. Once on top, the hands must stay in contact with the bar, and athletes must maintain support with their arms. Removing the hands and resting while on top of the bar is not allowed. The synchro portion will be at the top of the rep with both  athletes arms fully extended in support over the bar.
