“8 Mile”

Snatch
Score is heaviest weight successfully lifted.
Flow:
Each athlete will begin on their designated platform. The athlete will be permitted to load the bars to the desired weight prior to the initial attempt. Each athlete will be given a 20 second window to perform a snatch. Power snatch or squat snatch is permitted. If the athlete misses they are permitted another attempt and will be counted as a good rep if it is completed within the designated time frame. Each athlete will be given their own designated time slot to lift and will move from the highest seeded athlete to the lowest seeded athlete.
Athletes will be given 3 - 20 second time slots in which to lift.
Movement Standards:
Snatch - The athlete will move the bar from the ground to overhead in one smooth motion. Stopping at the shoulder is not permitted. Power snatch is allowed. The rep will be completed when the athlete stands up to full extension with the bar overhead with both feet under the hips. The athlete may not touch the platform with any part of the body other than the feet. Hang snatch is not allowed.
